The kid who played Kajol's goofy, bubbly, chashmish sister called Chutki in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge(1995), and the kid who went running around calling Jackie Shroff in King Uncle(1993) has grown up and transformed into a beautiful and successful lady.
We could all relate to the young Chutki who listened to her older sister's stories of love and boys and was her mother's laadli.
With all the hate unheard, Pooja Ruparel is now a stand up comedienne, and sometimes hosts karaoke nights at popular clubs like Hard Rock Cafe and Sante in Mumbai. After almost 2 decades, she finally came out of her hood and back to work. She was seen in 11 episodes of the popular series 24 along with Anil Kapoor.
Who would have thought that our little Chutki would grow up to be such an elegant lady.
She was also recently seen on Comedy Nights With Kapil along with the DDLJcast as they celebrated 1000 weeks of the movie. Dressed in a blue gown, she looked as ravishing as Kajol and Mandira Bedi!
She also stars in an underrated Hindi movie with the title X Present is Past. Directed by 11 directors, and with a splendid cast that boasts of Radhika Apte, Huma Qureshi, Swara Bhaskar and Rajat Kapoor, the movie looks really interesting. Wonder why no one has heard of it.
