Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana team up for YRF
It looks like Parineeti Chopra has ended her hiatus from the screen, that too on a musical note. Through a video announcement which features a song from the film in Parineeti's voice, the actress makes it official that her next film is with her "singer buddy" Ayushmann Khurrana under Yash Raj Films and Maneesh Sharma's production, to be directed by debutante Akshay Roy. Titled Meri Pyaari Bindu, the film looks to be a musical from the first look. Let's watch this space for more.
Cricketer Irfan Pathan Weds 21-Year-Old Model
Thirty-one year old Baroda cricketer Irfan Pathan is the latest in the line of cricketers to settle down. The ace bowler Pathan joined the ranks of other players like Harbhajan Singh and Rohit Sharma who recently tied the knot as well.
Pathan married Safa Baig, a 21-year-old model from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in a low key ceremony last Thursday. The 31-year-old Irfan, who last played for India in 2012, hosted the wedding ceremony in Mecca. "Entering probably the most beautiful phase of my life.We both wish to thank everyone for your wishes & #blessings," Irfan wrote in his Twitter account.
Apart from being a model, Safa is also a popoular nail artist and is working for a PR firm.
Last November, Harbhajan Singh married actress Geeta Basra in a grand ceremony with celebrities in attendance, while another Indian player Rohit Sharma married Ritika Sajdeh in December.
Recently, cricket's favourite poster boy Yuvraj Singh also got engaged to British actress Hazel Keech, so it won't be a surprise if we hear wedding bells again anytime soon!

Ever since the Ram Lakhan remake has been announced, a lot of reports have been doing the rounds about who will be playing the roles of Ram and Lakhan. Well, equally important is who will play the female characters – and if what we’re hearing is right, then one actress in particular is in talks for the film!
According to her team, Urvashi Rautela has had several meetings with Rohit Shetty to be a part of the remake. Nothing is confirmed, of course, but she’s said to be in talks for the film.
That’s definitely a big deal for the actress, who made her debut with Singh Saab The Great and will be seen next in Sanam Re.
The actress was even spotted sitting next to Rohit at the recent TopGear event:

Priyanka Chopra: I don’t need a guy for anything except for children

We know how passionately Priyanka Chopra feels about women’s issues and she has often taken up initiatives towards women empowerment. But more than what she says and does, what makes her an inspiration for millions across the globe is the kind of example she sets. And the actress was at it yet again! In a recent interview with Filmfare, the actress made it clear that she’s an independent woman and wouldn’t confirm to any stereotype that would suggest otherwise. When questioned if the new stone on her hand was indicative of a man in her life, the actress retorted by saying that she buys her own diamonds and doesn’t need a man for that. PeeCee further went on to say that the only reason she needs a guy is “for children.” Wow! that’s very mature and gutsy too!
Mature and independent as she might be, inside PC is still her daddy’s lil girl and she recently proved it too.

Taapsee Pannu Recently Bought Two Houses in Noida

TAAPSEE PANNU

Taapsee Pannu recently bought two houses in Noida. Even though her family stays in the Rohini area in Delhi, she decided to invest in property in Noida because she feels that the future of real estate lies in the city. But that doesn't make her any less of a Delhi girl. In a chat with us, the 'Baby' actress and former beauty queen spoke about her Delhi connection and how being compared with Preity Zinta doesn't bother her. Excerpts:
Wanted to invest in an area that was still developing
My father lives in Delhi, and he manages all my finances. I wanted to buy property in an area that was still developing. Delhi is already so developed that the starting price would be quite high and the appreciation rate won't be as much as one would have in Noida, Greater Noida or Ghaziabad. I bought one house in Noida last year and another one two years back. The installments for both the houses will be getting over soon. But I don't know when I will be getting to see the houses. I can't expect to be staying in either of the houses, so I will probably be renting them out. When I had bought them, they were under construction, so I had to wait for the possession.
You can't possibly expand Delhi any further
I have very close relatives living in Noida, so it's been quite a long relationship with Noida. In fact, Noida is where the future is for real estate. They have done all they could with Delhi. Whenever we talk of expansion, it has to be about Noida or Ghaziabad or Gurgaon. You can't possibly expand Delhi anymore.
I am dying to play a Delhi girl on screen
When Bollywood shifts to Delhi, I will shift back to Delhi. I pray for it everyday. I shot for a couple of days for 'Baby' in Delhi but I am waiting to shoot a full-fledged movie here. If the film is shot here, I can come to the shoot from my home and even call my friends over so that they can get a feel of what I actually do. I come to Delhi once in three-four months, but my parents visit me often. That makes up for it. I will be really excited to play a Delhi girl on screen - it will be a different experience altogether.
I still travel in the Delhi metro
I still travel in the Delhi Metro like I used to when I was a student. People do look at me and think that they might know me. But by the time they realise who I am, I go out of sight. For them, it's like, 'How can a movie actor be here?' And while they are in disbelief, I move away. I can't be that reserved a person when I am in Delhi, so I go for street shopping and like to eat out, too.
I take a risk by travelling in the Metro, and if people do recognize me and come and ask me if I am Taapsee, the actress, I just say, 'No'. I do not overdress, like no glasses or caps. People get more suspicious if you walk around wearing glasses or a cap. So, I just dress casually and walk around, and that's why they don't get the feeling of me being a celeb. In fact, I have had people coming to me and saying, 'We had a feeling you're Taapsee Pannu. But then we thought, why would she be travelling like that?
Delhi might be unsafe, but I can't not like it
No matter where you are in the world, you can never not like the place where you were born. You can never dislike the place, I feel. When I come to Delhi, I feel a sense of belonging, which I do not feel in any other part of the country. You feel, 'Yeh toh mera area hai'. I am a typical Delhi girl and I am very proud of that. Every city has some good things and some bad things. But I am what I am because of the upbringing that I got and also because of the city. I would rather look at the positives. I do feel that Delhi is a little more unsafe than some other cities. My family won't bother to check on me when I am out in Mumbai or somewhere in south India, but they get quite concerned if it gets a little late in the night in Delhi and I don't reach home. I have also faced situations where my car has been followed by guys and I think every girl has been through such situations. I have had people passing lewd comments while I was walking on the road in Delhi and have been followed by guys too, but nothing major has happened.
I never wanted to look at the price tag before buying something
When I was modelling during my college days, I didn't do late night shows. My parents were scared that I won't finish my education, so I was particular about timings. I would finish my work during college hours and return home right after, so they wouldn't even realize it. That's why I never did ramp shows - they usually happen in the night. In fact, people think that I am from an Army background because I became independent at such an early age in my life. My idea of becoming self-reliant was not to move out of my house, but to buy clothes and shoes, and to be able to go for movies every Friday. That was the whole concept of earning for myself. It was after I started doing well that I started making big plans, like funding my education or experimenting with my career or helping my sister with her career. I didn't want to look at the price tag of a thing before buying it. Whenever I used to go to shops as a kid, I always had to see the price tag and my parents would say, 'No, you can't buy this because it's expensive'. But it's actually happened now in the last couple of years that I don't see the price tag. I only look at it after I have bought it. That is like a dream come true for me.
I got Chashme Baddoor because I look like Preity Zinta
Right from the time I was in school, I have been hearing that I look like Preity Zinta. I think of it as a huge advantage. It was one of the reasons I got Chashme Baddoor - they were looking for a girl who has that kind of a vibe. I have met Preity at premieres but it's always been limited to 'Hi' and 'Hello'.

There’s no denying that Salman Khan is hands down India’s favourite television host. And the TRPs of Bigg Boss speak for themselves. And it’s rather obvious the superstar must be flooded with hosting offers round the clock. And now from what we hear, Salman has handpicked the best from the lot – The Farm, a reality show that’ll have its groups of participants working as farmers growing crops, raising animals and ploughing fields.
What’s more interesting is the fact that he’s going to co-host the show with Romanian girlfriend Lulia Vantur, who is currently filming the Romanian version of The Farm in Cyprus.
Salman is currently busy with YRF’s Sultan and Bigg Boss 9 but he’s gung ho about The Farm.
